Fulshear Residents: Solid Waste Fee Increase Begins This Fall

Fulshear residents will see an increase in their monthly solid waste fees this fall after Fulshear City Council approved a contract amendment with GFL Environmental during its July 21 meeting. The adjustment increases residential trash collection and disposal rates by 4.85% to account for changes in the consumer price index and fuel costs.

Fulshear homeowners will see a small increase in their monthly trash service fee beginning October 1 after City Council approved an update to the city’s agreement with GFL Environmental.

The monthly residential solid waste fee will increase from $16.90 to $17.72, an increase of 82 cents per month. The adjustment is tied to inflation and fuel costs.

The monthly service continues to include:

• Weekly trash collection

• Weekly recycling

• Bulk and brush pickup

Although the new rate takes effect on October 1, residents will first see the updated charge on their November water bill.
